The Smiled-Upon Addiction

Therein of-that species to the particular stores,
seeking high and low,
for the state-of-the-art glow,
what do they commonly addressed that.
retail theraphy?

next to them by their side,
waited a sure of patient,
the always-do victimized companion,
their true-blue husband,

oh , men!
just how fortitude you are,
to meet with their desire and demand.
men, i shalt repeat,
hold strong to your patience!

Cause by hook or by crook,
they'll drag you to every of the possible floors and doors,
as you are ending,
they are just about to begin,
until you are nil but a flat-pocketed,

With such menacing credentials ,
They become truculent,
a sudden overwhelming SPLURGE,
that was seemingly,
to be an another inexorable force,
which was triggered deep under,
in their ticker,

i am certainly sure,
their closet is
overflowing with
never-worn clothing,
the price tags still
waving in the breeze?
attic bulging with boxes and boxes of shoes that have never
touched pavement?
buying new makeup weekly,
and compact discs by the fistful?

In the land of conspicuous
consumption,
compulsive shopping is the smiled-upon addiction,
one of the few disorders that it's still acceptable to laugh at.

It isn't a true
compulsion at all,
but instead an
impulse-control disorder.

they are kind of too vulnerable,
to always thinking about it,
then a tension builds,
that's when they have to satisfy that tension,
by going out and shopping.

Never mind,
Shop 'til you drop.
The one who dies with the
most toys wins.

it shall bring about further economic downturn,
i must say,
a sudden suicidal might occur,
to solely treat to their disorders.

It boggles me somehow,
wondering just how much,
the possibilities of them becoming one,
in every each of the deliveries?

it's too intriguing,
are they born and bred,
to inherite such wont?

questions continuously mounting,
but no verdicts is veracious enough,
to assert my conservative understanding,

i shalt bear this on my mind,
my wife-to-be isn't of that species,
or i'll end up being demented,
by such ravaging exodus of penny and sanity,
that triggered unlooked-for demolishing berserk,
kind of scary tho'.

i am just an average,
i solemnly hope,
that this quirk of fate shan't befall upon me.

Inter alia,
the creatures i feared the most,
it would solely be just them,

The Shopaholics!

@ wont = habit, as in archaic form.
Exodus , is the massive departure of living things. Fosho, it's strictly prohibited to be used on penny and sanity. I am aware of that.Oh c'mon, still acceptable somehow.XD

A special thanks to Atikah Muhsin for that SPLURGE. Hahah.
